The State will also be offering a full-day training in May on the proper use of assistive devices, such as full, half, quarter, and assist bed side rails, bed cane, poles, u- bar, transfer bars, and other devices. This training will be offered in Denver on May 10 and in Grand Junction on May 12, and will feature Beryl Goldman of the Kendall Corporation, who is a nationally recognized expert on the use of assistive devices, and Amelia Schafer, the education director from the Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter.
