How to effectively manage your workers' compensation claims

Presented by Barb Pohl

Barb Pohl is the Owner and Principal Consultant of Rocky Mountain Occupational Safety & Risk Management Services (OSRMS) in Golden, Colorado. As a Corporate Risk Manager for the assisted living and skilled nursing industry, Barb has developed and managed several occupational safety and workers compensation programs for Sunrise Senior Living and Centennial HealthCare Corporation.

 

Event Summary

This workshop will provide attendees with information, resources, and tools on how effective claims management from the operator’s perspective can reduce workers compensation costs. Attendees will have the opportunity to review how direct and indirect workers compensation costs affect the financial bottom line and what measures to take to manage this process.   Furthermore, we will review how loss prevention and loss control activities impact the frequency and severity of a claim and introduce tools to for injury reduction and prevention.
