40-Hour Administrator Class

Are you preparing to become an assisted living administrator or looking to strengthen your knowledge of Colorado’s regulations and best practices?

Join CALA for our upcoming 40-Hour Administrator Class, taught by Janet Cornell, owner of Senior Care Administrator Coaching.

Class Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Wednesday: 1:30–3:30 PM

Janet has more than 22 years of experience in the senior care industry, including 14 years as an administrator of eight group homes. The course presents regulation-compliant topics in a format that is easy to understand.

The class includes real examples of surveys, difficult situations, and challenges operators face every day. Participants will also receive daily handouts that support the topics covered.

Topics include:

• The Business: Organizing the business topics required by regulation
• The Home: What is required for the facility to remain compliant
• The Staff: Required training and best practices for hiring staff
• The Residents: Paperwork required to move a resident into a facility

Participants will have work to complete outside of class, but no more than one hour each day. The course also includes four quizzes and a final exam.

Please note that participants must attend all sessions and pay at the time of registration. Zoom links and the class syllabus will be sent by the instructor.
