    The 40 Hour Administrator class is taught by Janet Cornell owner of Senior Care Administrator Coaching, Janet has over 22 years of experience in the Senior Care industry with 14 years’ experience as an Administrator of 8 group homes. The topics discussed are compliant with the regulations in a format that is easy to understand.  The class includes real examples surveys, difficult situations and challenges that operators face every day.  Included are daily handouts that support the topics learned that day. 

    It is a zoom class format:  

    Week One

    Monday and Tuesday: 

    The Business - Organizing the business topics required in regulation. 

    Wednesday: 

                   The Home - What is required to be compliant concerning the facility 

    Thursday and Friday:

    The Home - Continued


    Week Two

    Monday and Tuesday: 

    The Staff - What training is needed and best practice ideas 

    Wednesday:

    The Residents - What paperwork is required to move a resident into a facility 

    Thursday and Friday:

    The Residents- Information continued


     Each participant will also have work to be completed outside of class but not more than an hour each day.  There are 4 quizzes and a final exam.  Participants must attend all sessions. Registrants must pay at time of registration. Registration will close Friday, January 24th.

    Did you know that the Administrator is responsible for appointing someone to be the Qualified Designee and is responsible for making sure the designee is capable of filling in.   

     

     

    Regulation:  PART 6 – ADMINISTRATOR 

     

    6.8 Duties:  

     

    (L) Appointing and supervising a qualified designee who is capable of satisfactorily fulfilling the administrator’s duties when the administrator is unavailable.  

     

    The name and contact information for the administrator or qualified designee on duty shall always be readily available to the residents and public.
